McFarland Historical Society

The McFarland Historical Society offers a well-curated Museum, Norwegian log cabin, and an annex featuring early farming displays located at 5814 Main Street in McFarland. The restored historic Larson House Museum is a short walk away at 6003 Exchange Street.

The museum and historic house are open to the public every Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 PM from Memorial Day through September.  Group tours can be arranged by appointment with Dale Marsden at 608-838-3992 for the Museum, log cabin and annex, and with Jane Licht at 608-234-2504 for the Larson House Museum.  To rent the Larson House for special events, contact Gail Aaroen at  gtaaroen@hotmail.com

The Society offers publications on various aspects of local history, special educational events, and lively annual meetings in March.
