The McFarland (Wisconsin) Historical Society has several museums and other resources, all full of amazing exhibits and all free to visit!

 

McFarland History Museum, Log Cabin, and Annex

Location: 5814 Main Street, McFarland, WI 53558

Hours: Open to the public every Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 PM from Memorial Day through September.

Group tours: Schedule a tour of the museum, log cabin and farm exhibit for your family, small group, classroom, or organization by calling Dale Marsden at 608-838-3992

Larson House Museum

Location: 6003 Exchange Street, McFarland, WI 53558 (less  than two blocks from the main museum)

Hours: Open to the public every Sunday from 1 to 4 PM from Memorial Day through September. Also every Sunday from 1 to 4 PM throughout December. Public gardens are always open for your viewing pleasure. Feel free to sit on a garden bench or walk around the gorgeous gardens.

Group tours: Arranged by appointment with Jane Licht at 608-234-2504.

McFarland History Room at E.D. Locke Library

Location: 5920 Milwaukee St, McFarland, WI 53558 (within two blocks of the above venues)

Hours: Open whenever the library is open.
