Roy McFarland, grandson of village of McFarland founder William McFarland, wrote the majority of this book about William, his family, and about living in the McFarland House that was constructed in 1857.  Professional genealogist Virginia Nichols added obituaries published about the McFarland family from William to all of his grandchildren.
