Victorian Christmas!

Victorian Christmas!

The Larson House Museum is fully decorated for the holidays and is open to the public every Sunday afternoon in December from 1 to 4 pm.  Admission is free and donations are welcomed.  Themed trees are in most of the rooms and beverages and cookies are served in the kitchen.  Come and choose your favorite room and so indicate on our little survey sheet.  Homemade gifts, plants and T-shirts are for sale.

The Larson House Museum is a Queen Anne style Victorian home built in 1898 and furnished to represent the 1920’s when electricity first came to McFarland.  It’s a great place to visit when you have out of town guests.  Each room was restored by donations from families to honor special people significant in McFarland’s history.  Their histories are proudly placed on the walls in the house.

The Larson House Museum is part of the Village Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 7 from 10 am to 4 pm.  Live music, food, beverages, free tours of the house, and a reading of “T’was the Night Before Christmas at 3 pm are featured.
